There is a people called in Hebrew "Kasdiym". These are the same as those the Greeks called "Khaldaioi". Many say the name is connected with the name rendered "Kesedh" in Hebreaic writing. There is an acknowledged parallel between Hebrew [sin] and the L-phonetic in other tongues, in corresponding points of cognate words.
I have noticed a number of words that have an L-phoneme in the same place as a Hebrew word of otherwise the same sound, and with the same meaning has the letter [sin].
I will get back to this at a time of greater leisure.
