Ooh, did I just 'acquire' a new link from Mohawk (and possibly other Iroquoian languages) to Edenic???
kyenahs (kyé:-nahs) means 'I accept' wakyenta's (wak-yén:-ta's) means 'I acquire' kyenthokwas (kyent-hó-kwas) means 'I harvest' and kyenthos (kyént-hos) means 'I plant'
קנין 'kinyan'; is the word for acquire! The Edenic and Hebrew word has TWO 'N' sounds and the above Mohawk words only have one. But the first nasal sound may have simply dropped out.
The Mohawk 'pronunciation key' I borrowed is from "One Thousand Useful Mohawk Words" by Daid Kanatawakhon Maracle (U. of Western Ontario, London, Ontario - published by Audio Forum in Guilford, CT 1992.
Stay tuned for another rather solid one (pun intended) and one that seems to be a bit of a stretch.
