This one may be a bit shakier...
The Edenic and Hebrew word for 'only' is רק, which would transliterate into English as, maybe, 'rak, but sounds kind of like 'rock.' The Mohawk word for 'only' is 'ok,' which sounds like '[size=4oak[/size]' as in oak tree.
No bones about it, this one seems rockier than my earlier post today. But I keep staring at these two words...

;D Dear Avi/Phil:
Mohawk OK (only) is a fine echo of Edenic RahQ (only) if only you see if Edenic Resh gets any play in Mohawk If R is rare or absent, the link is stronger. If you find other Edenic words with Resh becoming silent or a vowel (common in Asian languages), then you have a major piece of the puzzle.
How do you say 'many" as in RIFE (Edenic RaBH)?. "rug or fabric" (EReG) "going down'", the way a ROOT grows (RaiD) "weak" (RaKH) Resh -->W "song or poetry" RaN (source of RUNE and oRINthology)
etc. Whip out a pocket Hebrew dictionary or digitally search music and meaning in your e-word CD dict.
Don't let OK (only) be the last of the Mohicans! Isaac

> Don't let OK (only) be the last of the Mohicans! Ah, that's 'last of the MOHAWKS.' The Mohicans...the Mohicans, ahhh, up and down the Mahicanituck...the river that flows in both directions (aka the Hudson River Valley in what's now New York State) >sniff/sob< Ah, sorry. I'm getting homesick. >sigh< Not that there's anything WRONG with Albuquerque, but it's so...so...southwest. Anyway.......... > If you find other Edenic words with Resh becoming silent or a vowel... I'll have to work on that. At the Mohawk Rez near Montreal, Kahnawake, " R" is pronounced like, well, ' R!!' Sixty miles or so west-southwest at Akwesasne, ' R' is always pronounced like ' L' except when people mix Engish and Mohawk together. BTW, there's no letter ' G' in Mohawk. So the letter ' K' stands in and is pronounced like... ' G.' I have my 'eye' on another possible link! I'll send it along in a day or two. (out here in the sunny southwest the concept is known as ' maňana.'
